Setting a Pench mark: A wild ride in Madhya Pradesh

It’s July, and under the cover of monsoon clouds, our car continues towards Kohka, a village on the forest periphery. From Nagpur, we have taken National Highway 7, which runs from Varanasi to Kanyakumari. The road cuts through the Pench National Park, close to the Turia gate near Khawasa village in Seoni District, Madhya Pradesh. After a three-hour drive, we reach the Kohka Wilderness Camp. Right behind it lies the Kohka lake, which sets the camp apart from the core forest area. Groves of bamboo and teak trees here create a haven for sunbirds and Asian Paradise flycatchers....

कोलकाता में उन्होने पढ़ाई की, पेशा उनका चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट (Chartered Accountant) का था, काम उन्होने बैंकर के तौर पर किया और नौकरी उन्होने मुंबई में की। उस शख्स ने जब अपने आसपास शिक्षा की बदतर हालत को देखा तो उन्होने अपनी अच्छी खासी नौकरी को छोड़ आदिवासी और गरीब बच्चों को पढ़ाने का जिम्मा उठाया। पिछले 5 सालों से ऐसे बच्चों को पढ़ा रहे संजय नागर (Sanjay Nagar) फिलहाल करीब ढाई सौ बच्चों को पढ़ाने का जिम्मा उठा रहे हैं। साल के 365 दिन बच्चों को पढ़ाने का वो ये काम अपने संगठन ‘कोहका फाउंडेशन’ (Kohka Foundation) के जरिये कर रहे हैं। उनकी इस कोशिश से जहां आदिवासी बच्चों के रिजल्ट में सुधार आया है, वहीं ऐसे बच्चों की संख्या भी कम हुई है जो कई कारणों से बीच में ही स्कूल छोड़ देते थे।........

कोहका (मप्र)(जेएनएन)। संजय नागर ने अपनी बैंक की नौकरी छोड़ कोहका फाउंडेशन शुरू किया जो मध्यप्रदेश के आदिवासी क्षेत्र में सेकेंडरी स्कूल के छात्रों को शिक्षित करने में मदद करती है। एक छोटे से गांव की निवासी गीता के पास बच्चों को उच्च शिक्षा दिलाने में मदद के लिए संसाधन हैं। लेकिन एनजीओ कोहका फाउंडेशन के विभिन्न शिक्षण कार्यक्रमों का हिस्सा होने के कारण गीता के संभावनाओं में नाटकीय रूप से परिवर्तन हो गया। परिणामस्वरूप राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर वह हैंडबॉल खेलने गयी और बोर्ड की परीक्षा में 70 फीसद अंक प्राप्त किए। आज वह जबलपुर के कॉलेज से ग्रेजुएशन की शिक्षा ले रही है। गीता रोल मॉडल है। फाउंडेशन के संस्थापक संजय नागर ने कहा उनके जीवन का उद्देश्य गीता जैसे रोल मॉडल बनाना है जो जिंदगी में बड़ी उपलब्धियां हासिल करेंगे। यह फाउंडेशन फिलहाल मध्य प्रदेश के आदिवासी क्षेत्रों में संचालित हो रहा है जिसमें 25 गांव आते हैं जो 6 स्कूलों को शेयर कर रहे हैं।........
